About Alan Morton
Alan’s passion is to see people encounter God, become rooted in Christ and grow into the amazing people God has called them to be. Alan is a Man Utd fan, loves his gadgets and enjoys reading books on the beach anywhere hot! He and his wife, Claire have 3 children and 1 son-in-law.
What do you love about the city you live in? I love the fact that it’s busy without being frantic and there is always something to do and such a variety of foods to taste. I love the mix of people and cultures that make up Manchester.
What is your favourite scripture and why? Two favourites that go together: 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (NKJV) This expresses the power of the new life; I don’t have to undo all the results of my old life, it is dead and buried. Ephesians 1:15-19 “I keep praying that God will give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Him better, to know your calling, to know your place in the church and to know His power”. (Alan’s paraphrase) As a new creation I regularly pray this as it is the outworking of being the new creation.
What is your dream holiday destination on earth or otherwise? Anywhere that Claire is with me!
What 3 items do you always pack when you go on mission? Bible, iPad, Manchester United cap!

So, what is my response to Jesus? Who do I say he is?
This question was asked by Jesus’ disciples and is just as often asked by us today. We compare ourselves to other people and look at ministries and churches around the world. Each of us knows God’s call on our lives. We are looking for significance and desiring to hear a “well done” from God.
