Life From A Supernatural Lens

This blog pertains to the following bible reading plan passages Luke 9-11, Psalms 120, and Proverbs 24.

In Luke 9:1-13, Jesus gives the disciples power and authority to cast out demons and heal all diseases. Then the disciples went out, and saw miracles. They experienced living from the supernatural.

Further down, we see the disciples return, and Jesus ends up teaching a crowd of over 5,000 until very late. The disciples came to Jesus and asked him to send the crowds away for food, but Jesus remarked “you feed them.” At this request, the disciples had a natural response “we only have.....” They failed to look at this with a supernatural perspective.

How often do we live life looking at things through a natural lens, rather than through a supernatural lens? When we are at church, or at some religious function, we tend to see things more supernaturally, but then when it comes to daily life, we see things in the natural.

I am reminded of the twelve spies in Joshua when they went to spy out the promised land. Only 2 came back with the right perspective. The other 10 saw the promised land with natural eyes, with defeat at the forefront of their thoughts, and because of that, that generation of Israelites missed out on seeing their promise fulfilled.

God wants us to live life from a supernatural perspective. He wants us to keep our focus on Him and in Heavenly realms. He wants us to do miracles, and see the impossible happen. He wants us to live life supernaturally, to see the things come to pass that we can’t do within our own strength.

My encouragement to you today is to live every day from the supernatural. Keep your focus and attention on him, even in what seems impossible. He is a faithful God, and you will see the miracle happen!
