Our History

Today GoChurch is 6 churches with a vision to become 25 churches by 2035. A vision that is the result of ordinary people discovering that God does so much more when we work together. First working together with Him, obeying His vision and plan and then working together with other believers with similar vision & faith. We believe that together we are stronger.

GoChurch started as two separate church plants in 1997: World Harvest Bible Church (WHBC) founded by Pastors Matt & Julie Beemer and Kingdom Faith Church Manchester (KFC Manchester) founded by Pastors Alan & Claire Morton.

In 2007 the marriage of these churches propelled both sets of Pastors and the combined church into new levels of ministry. Rhema Bible Colleges were started in UK, Nigeria, Egypt and Lebanon.  Churches were planted in Bradford, London, Liverpool, Beirut and Middlesborough. Since then, a CAP Debt Centre and Foodbank Centre have been launched. 

Pastors Matt & Julie trained at Rhema Bible College, Tulsa under the ministry of both Brother Hagin and Pastor Hagin.  Called as missionaries, they moved to the UK, planting World Harvest Bible Church while also reaching the countries in the 1040 window.

Pastors Alan & Claire trained at Kingdom Faith Bible College, under the ministry of Colin Urquhart.  They planted Kingdom Faith Church Manchester, and through outreach found themselves translating materials into Arabic and Farsi.

With both having a strong faith teaching background, this very much forms part of the culture of GoChurch, and equips the church to fulfil the Great Commission “to go and make disciples of all nations.”  (Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe that planting churches enables us to reach more communities and people groups across the World, and that being part of something bigger than just our own churches cause us to be Stronger Together.
