Rest For Restoration

As believers, we will face a lot of hard times, tribulations, circumstances, and battles in life.

Unconsciously, we tend to carry these weights that we are not supposed to carry, and anxiety sneaks in to make us restless. The Bible gives us the keys to help our rest to be restored.

1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

The Apostle Peter encourages us through the Holy Spirit to cast all our anxiety onto Jesus.  When we give our anxiety to Him, we then receive grace from the God of all grace. This grace infuses us with His power that enables us to walk through these challenging times victoriously.

When we cast our anxiety on Him, we will receive His grace.  In His grace, we will have rest and, in that rest, we will be restored.  When we are restored, we will be strong, firm, and steadfast.

When we are strong, firm, and steadfast we then can resist the devil.

1 Peter 5: 8-9 “Be sober-minded; be watchful for our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in your faith, knowing that your brotherhood is experiencing the same kinds of sufferings throughout the world.”

When we begin to see beyond our situations, circumstances, and battles with the eye of faith, we will be able to help our brothers in Christ throughout the World that are suffering the same.

Jesus said in Matthew to come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
